چکیده

in order to investigate the in vitro micropropagation hibiscus rosa-sinensis three tests in a completely randomized design with 10 replications were performed in tissue culture laboratory shahid chamran university in 2014.the first experiment showed the perfect media.second tests best consentration bap for multiplication and third tests showed the best type and concentration rooting hormone. compare average of first experiments showedthe highest average shoot length, number of leaves, fresh weight and dry weight was observed in vs than other media. compare average of second experiments showedthe concentration of 5.0 mg per liter hormone bap highest average shoot length, number of leaves, fresh weight and dry weight than other concentrations was observed.compare third experiment showed that the average concentration of 2.0 mg per liter of iba hormone highest percentage of rooting, number of roots and root length was compared to other concentrations.

Post-Coital Antifertility Activity of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn. roots

Ancient literature mentions the use of a number of plants/preparations for fertility regulation. Some local contraceptive agents have also been described in Ayurvedic and Unani texts. Documented experiments or clinical data are, however, lacking. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to explore the antifertility and estrogenic activity of ethanolic extract of the roots of Hibiscus rosa-si...

Hypolipidemic activity of Hibiscus rosa sinensis root in rats.

The hypolipidemic activity of Hibiscus rosa sinensis (family Malvaceae) root extract was studied on triton and cholesterol-rich high fat diet (HFD) induced models of hyperlipidemia in rats. In triton WR-1339-induced hyperlipidemia, feeding with root extract (500 mg/kg body wt/day p.o.) exerted lipid-lowering effect, as assessed by reversal of plasma levels of total cholesterol (TC), phospholipi...

Neuropharmacological evaluation of Hibiscus rosa sinensis roots in experimental animals

Objective: To investigate the effect of the methanolic extract of Hibiscus rosa sinensis roots (H. sinensis) on the central nervous system in mice and rats. Materials and methods: The methanolic extract of H. sinensis was studied on pentobarbital-induced sleeping time, elevated plus maze, hole board test, foot shock-induced aggression, haloperidol-induced catalepsy, lithium-induced head twitche...

Fullerene-Based Symmetry in Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Pollen

The fullerene molecule belongs to the so-called super materials. The compound is interesting due to its spherical configuration where atoms occupy positions forming a mechanically stable structure. We first demonstrate that pollen of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis has a strong symmetry regarding the distribution of its spines over the spherical grain. These spines form spherical hexagons and pentagons....

Conservation of medicinal plant Hibiscus rosa sinensis through Allium fistulosum plantation

Hibiscus rosasinensis is a medicinal plant species which grows in moist soil favorable for the growth of Aspergillus niger (fungus) too. But extract of Hibiscus rosasinensis does n’t shows inhibition zone against Aspergillus niger in PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) media in microbiological evaluation. In other hand, the Allium fistulosum root extract having antifungal activity shows moderate zone of...

Physiological Characterization of Flower Senescence in Long Life and Ephemeral Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.)

The most part of hibiscus plants produces short life flowers that last one day. Therefore they are called ephemeral and flower senescence is usually associated with petal in-rolling and abscission. Flowers are well shaped and different organs can be easily separated, these characteristics make the hibiscus a good model system for flower senescence studies. The aim of this work was to identify m...
